TEN-year-old Keiron Woods not only won his first-ever competitive match, he took away the trophy for the best boxer of the night at a tournament organised by Chepstow Amateur Boxing Club.
Keiron was the first Chepstow boxer into the ring and came out attacking from the first bell to overwhelm his opponent, Kealan Watts of Blackwood.
The Caldicot Green Lane school pupil twice forced a standing count before being awarded the match unanimously.
Chepstow's Jack Jenkins was unlucky to lose his bout with Jay Phelps of Gloucester.
Jack won the first round but Jay came back to win by on a majority decision.
Aiden Hampsey recorded his second win in a row by overcoming the challenge of Elliott Osman of Lydney.
In an all-action contest Aiden received the confidence booster of a unanimous decision.
In two exhibition bouts – where there is no winner – Chepstow boxers Scott Webber and Jamie Marley took on Swansea opponents Ian Owen and Jacob Lovell.
The next competition for Jamie, Scott, Jack and Keiron will be the Welsh Schoolboys' Championships.
The tournament at Chepstow Rugby Club featured clubs from the Forest of Dean, Bristol, Blackwood, Tredegar, Brecon and Swansea.
Head coach Mr Terry Dymock said: "There was some good boxing and plenty of action."
The trophies were presented by club chairman Mr Pat Burke and main sponsor Mr Simon Chorlton. The MC for the evening was Mr Andrew Hoskins.
