HIGH-flying young sports stars have gained qualifying scores, including a gold medal, at a recent trampolining competition.

Girls from Kestrel Flyers, the Chepstow trampolining group, competed in Cardiff on January 12.All the girls had routines with predetermined elements, but also had to perform ‘range and conditioning’ routines to show their strength and flexibility.

In the 13 years+ National Development Plan (NDP) level 1 section, Poppy Wayman won silver, and together with Amelia Prosser-Davies, Darcy Howells and Holly Heal, they won Team Bronze. In NDP Level 3 section, Gemma Heal was named champion, winning gold.

They gained qualifying scores, allowing them to progress to the Regional Gradings next month, before going on to the Welsh Finals.
