Whitehouse Press North Gloucestershire League Division Two

Milkwall Reserves 1-15 Broadwell A

------

CHRIS Jones and Christopher Powell each scored four as Broadwell A turned up the heat on leaders Ross Juniors

Broadwell, on 45 points, are just one point behind Ross, but have three games to go compared to the Herefordshire’s side’s two.

Ross could do no more after a 1-6 win at Bream Amts Reserves, but the results meant Juniors’ goal difference advantage also evaporated.

Ross started the day with a goal difference of 46 against Broadwell ’s 37, but each finished with a difference of 51.

The Gloucestershire side’s record is currently 14 wins, three draws and four defeats from 21 games while Ross have 14 wins, four draws and four losses from 22.

Liam Jacques hit a hat-trick which also makes him the division’s leading scorer with 23 goals, moving clear of Whitecroft A’s Lewis Edwards on 19.

Brandon Leach, Ian Price and Jordan White also scored for Broadwell while Kieran Dawson was the only Milkwall player to get on the score sheet.

Third-placed Whitecroft A are still in with a mathematical shout, if both Ross and Broadwell slip up.

Whitecroft beat Ruardean Hill Rangers A 3-0 and are now on 40 points with four games to go.

Their scorers were Tom Coleman, Jason Murrell and substitute Felix Rose who all hit the net in the second half.
