LYDNEY Town under-12s finished off an incredible season with the runners-up medals in the Severn Valley Youth Football League.
The young Foresters missed out on the top spot by only one point.
With 15 wins in the league this season the team showed great talent, commitment and sportsmanship.
Some of the team have been playing together since they were four years of age.
Steven Bethell, who has managed this team since the beginning in 2012, with the help of Ercan Demirok, said he was proud of his young players.
He said: “The core of the team has been together since they were four-years-old and have been taking and welcoming new talented players throughout the years
“They have all added to a team with fantastic potential.
“We would also like to say thank you to all the parents of players who help with the team and show up in all weathers, showing commitment and friendship along the way – it’s a team effort.
“We train on a Tuesday evening at Bathurst Park and would welcome any new children interested in joining the team.”
