Mushet and Coalway 0-2 Harrow Hill Res

----

HARROW Hill Reserves continued their march away from the wrong end of the table with a win at leaders Mushet and Coalway.

It was their third victory on the trot, following home wins against Worrall Hill and English Bicknor Reserves.

James Matthews opened the scoring after 15 minutes, taking advantage of the home side’s failure to clear the ball.

Jordan Howard’s second half goal – a shot from just inside the penalty area which ended up in the top corner – secured the win for the visitors.

Hill manager Shaun Addis said the side’s run of form can be put down to having a full squad available and some new faces.

He said: “The full squad is turning up and we have three subs.

“We’ve also had a few players come in who’ve found their positions and excelled in them.

“That has injected a bit of confidence into the side and we’re playing well.

“I would say it was a comfortable win for us, we looked like the top of the table side.”

The win means Harrow Hill are five points clear of 11th placed Redmarley.

Second-placed Viney Hill took advantage of the leaders’ defeat to close the gap to a single point thanks to a 3-0 win over Blakeney with goals from Josh Warren, Kieran Fabiani and Scott Edmonds.
