Whitehouse Press North Gloucestershire League Premier Division
Worrall Hill 1-1 Harrow Hill Reserves
-----
BOTH sides had chances to win this game – including a penalty – but it was eventually decided by two second-half goals.
The draw was a fair result in a competitive game which saw Worrall Hill remain in third and Howle Hill in fifith.
Scott Davis opened the scoring for the visitors some 15 minutes after the break through a well struck low drive.
But Worrall Hill struck back 10 minutes later when Luke Brazil fired home.
The home side – which included young James Matthew in the line-up for the first time – had a number of chances, as did the visitors.
The best chance of taking the lead fell to Worrall Hill who were awarded a penalty.
But Ellis Duggan in the Harrow Hill goal was equal to the well-struck spot kick from James Brain.
Elsewhere in the division, table toppers Staunton and Corse won 4-0 against Redmarley and are now six points clear of Broadwell Amateurs Reserves in second place.
Broadwell were awarded a walkover at Howle Hill and now have three games in hand over the leaders.
A 77th-minute goal by Ollie Fitt gave sixth-placed Coleford Town a win over bottom side Redbrook Rovers.
In the only other Premier game, Huntley beat Mushet and Coalway 3-0 with goals by Lee James, Joseph Layzell and Marc Matthews.
