Broadwell Reserves 2-1 Ruardean Hill Rangers Reserves

A GOAL five minutes from time secured the three points for leaders Broadwell against bottom side Ruardean Hill. 

A stubborn performance by the visitors frustrated Broadwell – who included first team players Ross Gabriel and Jordan Sheen – for long periods

Craig Tait opened the scoring for the home side in the 35th minute from the penalty spot but Rangers drew level before half-time with a stunning goal from the edge of the box by Jack Knight.

Broadwell keeper Craig Alexander had to make two outstanding saves and, to add to the leaders’ frustration, Tait blasted a penalty over the bar.

But with five minutes man-of-the-match Paul Sargeant surged forward and laid off a perfect pass to Sheen who fired his shot low into the goal.
