Broadwell A 1-2 Milkwall

MILKWALL will be playing in Division Two of the North Glos next season thanks to this win – but they had to come from behind to secure the points.

Another two wins should also be enough to give them the title, given their much superior goal difference over second-placed Ross Juniors.

Things did not start according to plan as Broadwell took advantage of the blustery conditions at Five Acres to go ahead after about a quarter of an hour thanks to a Scott Sergeant goal.

In a very tight game, Broadwell had a couple of first half chances to go further ahead but Stuart Jeffs equalised a minute before the break.

In the second half the visitors were more on top and Simon Jones got the winner with some 20 minutes to go.

Ross Juniors beat Newent Town 5-0 to keep their hopes alive mathematically but the title seems Milkwall’s to lose at this stage.
