AFTER another very successful season Chepstow RFC youth team are on the hunt for more players to launch a title winning campaign in 2016/17.

The team of 16- to 18-year-olds came together as a youth set up two years ago and have seen ever improving results while testing themselves across both England and the South Wales valleys. Last season the team travelled to the South Wales valleys to play in the cup final against a very strong Garndiffaith side. Added to that achievement, they finished third in their local league.

Coach Dean Thomas said: “Last season was an excellent one for us, an exciting cup win against a team with one Welsh under 18 international and a host of Newport Dragons academy players as well as third place in the league.

“We are keen to further our success by looking for more keen, enthusiastic players aged between 16 and 18 looking to enjoy playing open running rugby.”
