A NEAR half-century knock by Philip James for Parkend was not enough to stop Lydney cruising to victory with nearly eight overs to spare.
Harry Williams hit 56 for visitors Lydney as they reached 140-6 after 32.2 overs.
Pick of the bowlers for Lydney was Callum Miller who picked up four wickets – including the important wicket of James – in eight overs for just 15 runs.
The others went to Charlie Brett, Neil Smith and Jack Knox, who at just 12 is probably the youngest player in the league.
For Parkend Peter Timmins scored 19 before being bowled by Smith and Jim Crawley went to the bowling of Miller for 13.
Luke Thomas was on 13 and Peter Scullion was on two when the Parkend innings closed.
For Lydney Harry Williams's innings of 56 included nine fours before he was caught off the bowling of Charlie Thomas.
Neil Smith added 19 before being bowled by Jake Parsons who was one of two Parkend bowlers who claimed two wickets – the other being Peter Timmins.
Lewis Edwards and Charlie Thomas also got a wicket each.
Andrew Davies had built up a useful innings of 27 including three fours when the target was reached. Also at the crease was Jack Knox on four.
