SOME 20 members of TAGB Tae Kwon-Do in Cinderford and Mitcheldean attended the Area Inter-Club Championships in Monmouth last month.

Twelve of the 16 competitors came away with 21 medals between them, many of them for their first tournament.

As well as competitors, Cinderford and Mitchel­dean were well represented by junior black belt officials, who were extremely helpful in judging and timekeeping.

Melinda Penman, 2nd Dan assistant instructor, said: “Ken and I are very proud of everyone who entered the competition. We all had a fabulous day out in Monmouth, and are looking forward to our next tournament soon.”
