NEWNHAM'S soccer resurgence this season -– six wins on the trot after six successive defeats – is being threatened by the absence of a very important player – a goalkeeper!

"We desperately need one," says secretary Roger Parrish.

"Matt Dallow has been doing a really good job for us but he has to go back to university and will no longer be regularly available," said Roger.

"We had a very shaky start to the season but thanks to the efforts of manager Nick Marshall we are doing really well again. The return of Wayne Jobson has brought the best out of other players but we do need a specialist goalkeeper," he said.

Newnham play in North Gloucester League Division One.
