A CHIROPRACTOR and keen runner from St Briavels has taken on the challenge of the London Marathon to raise funds in memory of a family member.
Patrick Rennison, who is a public relations officer for Forest of Dean Athletics Club, said: “My sister-in-law Kerri died from cancer recently at the age of 52 and, in addition, my sister and her husband have both been treated for cancer recently.
“In consequence I decided I would run the London Marathon for Marie Curie because they provided such excellent care for my sister-in-law when she was ill.
“People can give directly to Marie Curie on my behalf by going to justgiving.com and then simply putting my name in the search box which will bring up details of the appeal.”
Patrick has already raised over £850 towards his target of £5,000.
