IN Gwent County League Division Three Caldicot Castle and Thornwell Red and White remain third and fifth from bottom respectively after both of their games were postponed on Saturday.
Whiteheads missed the chance to leapfrog Castle after losing 4-0 at New Inn.
There were also no changes of any note in the Welsh League Reserve Division East with all bar one game cancelled due to the weather. Neither Chepstow, Undy or Caldicot where involved and their league positions remain unchanged.
Caldicot Castle A have made it through to the final of the Fishwick Cup after a 4-3 win over Thornwell Red and White B.
Castle A missed a penalty and twice had to come from behind but finally triumphed in a topsy-turvy encounter.
They will play the winner of Castle B and Mathern Wanderers B who play this weekend after their semi-final was postponed because of a waterlogged pitch.
In the East Gwent Division One Mathern Wanderers A maintained their nine point advantage at the summit with a 15-0 thrashing of Chepstow Athletic.
The Bulwark-based side remain second-bottom of the league but only on goal difference after Caldicot Town won their third game of the season to move level on points with them.
A hat-trick from Courtney Davies and a Jordan Doyle strike helped them to a 4-3 win over Blackrock Rovers.
Underwood stay second after smashing third-bottom side Severn Tunnel NP A 11-0.
The fight for the East Gwent Division Two title is back on after leaders Sudbrook CC suffered a surprise defeat at home to Caldicot Castle C. Sudbrook remain six points ahead of Tintern Abbey who have two games in hand over them. Tintern Abbey's game with Port and Sud was postponed.
