THREE young members of Kestrel Gymnastics achieved places in the Welsh preparation and development squads, after try-outs in Cardiff recently.

A spokesperson for the club said: “Six-year-old Kestrel Gymnast Brereton Trim gained a place in the Welsh preparation squad, executing excellent conditioning skills.

“10-year-old Alex Hill-Wilson and 12-year-old Joseph Dunster took part in the Welsh NDP Championships in Car­diff, with good performances on all apparatus in Men’s Artistic Gymnastics, and Alex is now a reserve for the Welsh team for NDP Club Level Two for the British finals taking place in Birmingham in November, and Joseph is part of the Welsh Team for Club Level Four. 

“Alex and Joseph have also gained a place in the Welsh development squad.  The boys are looking forward to attending monthly training sessions as members of the Welsh squads in Swansea.”
