GWENT County runaway champions Chepstow Town underlined their complete dominance of division one with a 4-0 win away at nearest rivals Fleur-De-Lys Welfare.
Goals from topscorer Jason Thorn, Richard Sharratt and a double from Mark Dunn secured a 14th consecutive league win and extended their lead over their second-placed opponents to 24 points.
But playing on the 3G astro turf at Pontllanfraith the gap didn't appear as great during a tight opening half hour where chances were few and far between.
In fact it was the home side who had shaded the early exchanges before Chepstow striker Mark Dunn took matters into his own hands with a superb solo goal. Picking the ball up just inside Welfare's half and with little support on hand he headed straight for goal, letting fly from just inside the box to make it 1-0.
Undeterred, the home side continued to pass the ball well but were unable to break down a solid Town defence who held firm to ensure they maintained their advantage going into half time.
The second half picked up where the first had left off with both sides playing attractive football without threatening to add to the score. But this changed when Mark Dunn was fouled inside the box for Jason Thorn to score his 47th goal of the season from the penalty spot.
The longer the game went on the more the champions asserted their superiority and they were soon in full control. Richard Sharratt punished some poor defending, lashing home a loose ball in the box to make it 3-0. Dunn's second of the game completed a comprehensive win late on as he converted a cross from youth player Ryan Williams who was making his first team debut.
Chepstow bring their triumphant season to a close at third-placed Cwmbran Town on Saturday.
