FOUR female members of a Forest kickboxing club have each earned a place at the world championships in Holland later this year.
Seven-year-old Lacey Jones, Connie Doyle, who is 21, Kat Baker, who is 29, and 44-year-old Michelle Gardiner are all members of White Lotus Martial Arts which meets at the Miners’ Hall in Cinderford.
The Forest quartet qualified for the British team that will take part in the world championships in October.
They earned their places thanks to their performance at the World Fight Sports and Martial Arts Council’s open British championships held in Birmingham.
Connie was second and third in her two categories while Michelle, who is the club’s chief instructor and is a fifth dan, was first. Lacey and Kat were second.
