A single- vehicle collision today on Moseley Green, Parkend led to a road closure to prioritise public safety.

A spokesperson from Gloucestershire Police, said: “This was a single- vehicle collision involving a car and a telegraph pole. It was a suspected medical episode and one person has been taken to Gloucestershire Royal Hospital to be assessed, although they are not believed to be seriously injured.

“The road was closed while British Telecom engineers and Highways worked to ensure it is safe to pass.”

Mallards Pike Cafe also issued an update to customers, saying that due to the incident nearby, they are experiencing an internet outage. As a result, card payments are temporarily unavailable. However, the cafe still remains open and can be accessed via an alternative route.
