I MAKE regular visits to the Forest as I have relatives in?Coleford. Our favourite pub is the Boat at Redbrook and we walk through the Angus Buchanan grounds, through the Scowles and down to Redbrook. We have noticed the gradual deterioration of the track in the park and the Bowls Club track, namely the large potholes.

On our last visit to the Boat we noticed a gentleman making effective repairs to the track and we commented to him on the good work he was doing. When we returned we spoke to a dog walker about the state of the track by the Bowls Club. He said the track from the gates had been repaired by someone from the Angus Buchanan?Charity, but the other track which leads to the Bowls Club, has never been repaired as long as he could remember.

The repairs have not gone unnoticed and we would just like to say 'thank you' to the charity as they quite obviously care for the park and its uers. Also the repairs to the park fence look great. We like the stone as well. We can only assume that the charity is responsible for this work.

The park users, the Bowls Club and the Football Club should be pleased.
