Having attended the Allaston appeal at Forest of Dean District Council I have to commend the hard work and dedication of both County Cllr Alan Preest and Town Cllr Brian Pearman in their support of the SAD group and also the staff at Lydney Town Council regarding this appeal.

What was blatantly obvious was the non-appearance of district councillor Judy Davies (ward member for Lydney North)  who should at least have been there to support her electorate, if not speak on their behalf.

It seems however that when it comes to having her photograph on the front of the paper campaigning against the development she was first in the queue, maybe now her electorate in Lydney North will actually know what she looks like even if she doesn't stand up for them in such an important issue.

Also disappointing was the lack of support for the residents from other Lydney district councillors.
