LITTLE Rudy Horrobin was welcomed into the world by his parents, grandmother, great-grandmother and great-great grandfather.
Not only is Rudy the fifth generation of his family on mum Jasmine's side he is also the latest first-born.
Mum Jasmine Golding, who is 19, grandmother Sam Golding, who is 43 and great-grandmother Carol Bottomley, who is 62, were also the eldest child in their families.
Making up the fifth generation is great-great grandfather Eric Hoare, aged 82, of Bulwark, Chepstow.
Rudy's other grandparents are Dean Golding and Dawn and Shaun Horrobin and his great-grandfather is Dave Bottomley.
He also has a number of aunts and uncles – Caitlin, Dylan and Arthur Golding and Ryan and Alex Horrobin.
Jasmine, who lives in Lydney, said the arrival of Rudy was "a lovely surprise" for her and partner Calvin Horrobin.
Rudy was born on October 15 at Gloucester Royal Hospital and his arrival means that Jasmine has had to put back plans to study sociology and criminology at university in Cheltenham for a year.
Grandmother Sam, who also lives in Lydney, said: "He's lovely and I've got my wish for another redhead in the family."
