Mayor of Coleford, Nick Penny, had a chance to practise his sharp-shooting skills as a Civil War battle was remembered.

Members of the Sealed Knot gave Nick training in handling a musket as the 376th anniversary of the Battle of Coleford was commemmorated.

Nick said: “It was a fantastic event and there was a good turn out from members of the public.

“I was very excited to be part of the musket firing.”
