AT the recent annual general meeting of Berry Hill band, a great deal of discussion revolved around the future of banding.
Though, at the moment, we are holding our heads above water we want the future to be much more stable and secure.
We have a nucleus of young players learning who will probably during the next 12 months progress to the senior band. This is quite a refreshing thought.
But in the interim period we would welcome a few experienced former or new players to join us to stabilise the band's future.
The commitment would mean a weekly practice evening and several engagements during the summer.
If you want to have a worthwhile and interesting hobby for the new millennium, come along on a Monday or Wednesday to the Bandroom.
Please can I appeal to you to give this request your utmost attention. Your presence will be greatly appreciated and a warm welcome awaits. – Berry Hill Band president, Ivor Jordan.
