MENTION is well worth making of the tremendous result achieved – fourth out of 21 – by Lydney Town Band at the recent West of England Brass Band Championship in Torquay.

Missing out on qualification by just one place to the national fourth section finals is a credit to the hard work and commitment of musical director Kevin Ford and his team and good for the town to see its brass band once again on the up.
