ANN Herbert, 74, of Caldicot, burst into tears when she shouted "bingo!" and learned that she had scooped a massive £105,000.
"I cried. I just couldn't believe it," she told the Review. "I have never won a big prize like this before."
And she said she still hadn't had time to think properly about what she and her husband Francis would do with the big prize which she won at the Castle Club, Newport.
"We have a lot of things to do around the house, of course. And I have a big family – a son and three daughters, 10 grandchildren and 12 great grandchildren."
Ann has been a member of the club for three years and plays there once a week. She is taken there by one of her daughters.
Her prize was the pooled National Bingo game, worth £100,000, a regional prize worth £4,692 and the house prize of £283 for completing a full house in just 44 numbers.
