UNLIKE previous years, there are now increasing boar signs around every local track I use and I have to admit that my lone dog walks are not the relaxing pleasure they were. I no longer go off exploring.

Having spoken to other dog walkers, I was surprised to find I am not alone. Seeing piglets is one thing but to be pursued by a huge boar, coming out of the thicket, as happened to a lady we know, is another matter.

Perhaps all those in favour of boar could set up and maintain feeding stations deep in the Forest?
