TWO Rivers tenants in Cinderford – who two months ago said wild boar had overturned bins and damaged a car – claim its landlord still won’t help them.
Jen Brown, who lives in a flat in Hollydean, contacted the Review last week to say the wild boar had returned to the area.
She said: “The boar are back and trashed the bin shed. We have been asking for a communal bin since February but keep being fobbed off with promises of meetings and phone calls but nothing ever happens.
“The last time they were in the area our bins were kept by our vehicles so we could monitor who puts what into our bins as they had been overflowing. This time the boar targeted the actual bin shed Two Rivers provided.
“When I contacted them the association asked why I wasn’t prepared to clean the mess again. If we had a communal bin the boar wouldn’t be able to tip it over.”
A spokesperson for Two Rivers Housing said: “We have been made aware by our tenants that the boar have been very active in the Hollydean area, impacting on all types of property.
“We have provided a secure bin store at our flats at Hollydean in order to accommodate the tenants’ individual wheelie-bins. We can, therefore, only reiterate the district council’s advice to all residents affected by the boar, to avoid putting the bins out overnight. We would also like to remind people that they can report any nuisance boar activity to the Forestry Commission.”
Two Rivers added it hadn’t received any reports of damage to the shed which features double and single bolted doors.
