TWO Forest girls who joined forces to create a wedding blog almost two years ago have been nominated for two prestigious awards.

Jessica Turley, 22, and Emily Pettiford, 26, created their Yorkley-based online wedding blog in November 2011. On average they say they receive between 6,000 to 7,000 views each day as brides turn to their blog for daily advice and inspiration.

Jessica said: "Bespoke Bride isn't just another bridal blog; it is a simple way to inspire couples to create a wedding day that is unique, customised and full of personality.

"At first the blog was a fun way for Emily to showcase her handmade invitations and for me to collate ideas for my forthcoming venture into the world of wedding photography. It wasn't long before writing for the blog became our passion. Now Bespoke Bride hosts a plethora of ideas, inspiration and advice all topped off with a sprinkling of character."

Their talent and success has been recognised in the UK's wedding blog awards by Wedding Magazine for 'Best DIY wedding blog' and 'best designed wedding blog'.

"We were both so ecstatic when we found out we had been nominated, writing a blog can be quite lonely at times and to know that all of those people had voted for us couldn't have made us feel more proud. Now we can't wait to get all dressed up and go to the awards ceremony at The Ritz in London on October 8," Jessica added.
