THREE fire engines were called to a house in Caldicot earlier this evening.

There was a fire in the kitchen of the house in Park Road, said a spokeswoman for the South Wales Fire Service.

She said: "We received a call at approximately 20.20 to a kitchen fire and three water ladders were sent."

Firefighters from Caldicot and Chepstow were on the scene for approximately an hour.
