I WAS sorry to read that Sergeant Major Glenn Howat  in last week's edition had a waiting time of two to three months  for an appointment with a certified chimney sweep.

There are three certified chimney sweeps within a three mile radius of The Pludds who advertise regularly in the Review, me included. I am a member of the National Association of Chimney Sweeps.

Had he contacted me, he would have been able to have his work carried out within a week or two to three weeks in peak season.

Please let me assure my  current and future customers that the time he quoted is not the norm, as my regulars will know.
