THE police helicopter was scrambled over Lydney this morning (Thursday, January 3) after a missing child alert.

A six-year-old boy was reported missing after last being seen in the front garden of his home on Par Four Lane around 10.30am.

The boy was located safe and well within an hour playing at a nearby friend’s house.
