IT is feared a pair of peregrine falcons who regularly breed on cliffs above the Wye have been frightened off their nest by garden debris falling from above.

Chepstow town mayor, Cllr Marian Lewis, says the falcons can be seen from Chepstow's Riverside gardens, but the debris is being dropped across the border from housing in Tutshill.

This makes it a difficult cross-border issue, although the birds are legally protected from interference in both Wales and England.
