I, like many others, support your stance on immigration, and I think that Mr Elsmore's letter to you the previous week did not deserve the reaction it got from the members of UKIP in the Forest.

I work in a hospital for severely brain-damaged patients, and shudder to think where we would be without our Philippino and African nursing staff.

As you can imagine, the work is very challenging and we find that local people do not stay with us for very long, whereas our foreign staff are committed and industrious.

The trouble with UKIP followers, and their 'little Englander' mentality, is that they think that everyone thinks like themselves, when in fact the opposite is true, which is borne out by their pitiful results in recent elections.
