A DEBUT Christmas album has been launched by a classical flute and piano duo, Tranquillo.
Tranquillo is made up of flautist, Sarah Waycott, from St Briavels and pianist Hannah Mitchell from Aberdare in the South Wales valleys.
The duo has been working with Hannah's composer sister, Rebecca Faith Mitchell who has arranged a number of well known carols ranging from classical to jazz.
As well as classics such as Joy to the World and O Holy Night, the album also includes Rebecca's original composition Seren Y Nos (Star of the Night).
Sarah, 27, and Hannah, 25, met while studying for the Postgraduate diplomas at the Royal Welsh College of Music and Drama and after graduating formed Tranquillo and have been performing at venues like the Lydney Festival and St Briavels Music Society.
The album, recorded at the Forest's Berry Hill Studios, was given a grand launch at the Forest of Dean Model Village in Lydney.
