IN the middle of a difficult labour in Gloucestershire Royal Hospital Suellen Hale, 20, of Coleford, was amazed when her sister-in-law Mandy Jones appeared in the bed next to her.

Within 24 hours Suellen's mum, Wendy Goodway, had become "the proudest Nana on this earth" with two bonny bouncing grand-daughters – and she immediately booked an advert in the announcements column of the Review to let the world know.

Suellen was the first of the two to give birth to her baby, Wendy Courtney Billy, on February 16 after a mammoth 32 hours in labour.

Mandy then produced baby Chloe Wendy on February 17.

Both little girls are doing well and Nana Wendy is especially proud that their mums have paid such a tribute to her by giving the babies her name.

"I'm over the moon – it's wonderful," she said.

And all are agreed on one thing – it' s going to be a whopper of a two-day 21st birthday party further down the track!
