CONTRARY to what  A. Sumners of UKIP  believes there is no mystery to Mark Harper's stance that Romanians and Bulgarians will not arrive here in great numbers, because  Mr.  Harper believes that the Coalition's policy  of  changes to the  benefits system,  will make  this country an unattractive prospect for any  future migrants.

This  has been  laid out  recently in the Tory press, in a concerted effort  to quell the haemorrhage of Tory supporters to UKIP and  will no doubt win back a lot of voters because of this.

I do not share  A. Sumner's optimism  for the future of UKIP. Of course, Mr Harper   would not want to admit the above,  because  the policy, coupled with a wage freeze over a number of years,  has  a detrimental effect on our own citizens, who are being taken to the cleaners on a daily basis by Osborne's friends in the energy companies and the  City of London.

The result of this  is a huge fall in our standard of living. In short, this country is being deliberately  dragged down closer  to the level of the countries  said migrants are trying to escape from.

I do though agree  with  A. Sumners  when they say it is the ordinary people who will feel the effects of these policies.

But I also  think  that  this would be the case whether these migrants are let in or not, as it seems the cost of keeping them out is, as always, being borne by we ""ordinary folk" by keeping our wages low and cutting benefits.

This Coalition's policy seems to be  let's   turn this country into a standard of living backwater, except for the wealthy  then perhaps nobody will want to come here, except  of course, for the wealthy.
