A WOMAN was arrested for drink driving on Sunday morning following a collision that required fire crews to free a passenger.

Three people had been released before the arrival of the fire service which was called to the scene on St White's Road, Cinderford, just after 1am.

It is understood there was only one vehicle involved and firefighers disconnected a battery on the vehicle.

Paramedics treated two women for injuries on the scene and one of them provided a positive breath test, said a Gloucestershire Police spokesman.

An eyewitness told the Review: "I reached the scene just after 2am and there was a sea of blue lights. A wall had been demolished and the front of the car looked smashed up. About an hour later I drove past and it appeared to have all been cleared up."
