TRAFFIC wardens in one Forest town are desperately in need of a map so they can work out where they are, according to one aggravated motorist.

The disabled notice in Stephen Halifax's car had fallen below the dashboard and was out of sight so the car was given a ticket for being on double yellow lines.

"Strange thing is," says Stephen. "It appears to have been stolen, given a ticket in Market Street and then, somehow, moved back to its place outside my mother's house in Victoria Street.

"I did tell the wardens that the car was parked in Victoria Street but was given a ticket written up as Market Street. That's Market Street, not Victoria Street where I'd left the car. But they didn't seem to understand the difference.

"Let's face it, Cinderford's not that large a place, so it's not a good sign when the traffic wardens don't have any idea where they are, or what street the car they're booking is on."
