KEN and Julie (June) Faull emigrated to Australia with their four children almost 40 years ago, spurred on by a farewell party at Lydney CC pavilion.

This week they have returned along with their three daughters and two of their 12 grand children and a son-in-law. Son Jon was unable to make it because of business commitments.

The family have returned to Lydney to celebrate Ken's 80th birthday and the couple's 56th wedding anniversary.

"While many of the family have visited previously, this is the first time that  three generations have been here together," said Julie, who is already on her way back to Australia.

Before beginning their new life Ken Faull operated the Faull School of Motoring and Julie was a successful Tupperware manager. Their eldest daughters, Judi and Jacqui, attended Lydney Girls School and the younger family members, Joanna and Jon, were pupils at Lydney C of E School during the 1960s.

During their time in the UK they are catching up with family and friends, sharing many memories and visiting favourite places throughout the Forest of Dean.
