COLEFORD singer-songwriter Yasmine has landed a part in a special showcase production at the London Palladium on Sunday.
"I am so excited and really looking forward to singing in a West End show, particularly at such a prestigious venue as the Palladium," she said.
"But I will be thankful when it is over as I have been travelling back and forth to London for the past 12 weeks and have had to stop other performances and even going out. Now I can get back into circulation!"
Yasmine landed the part against 2,000 other applicants who wanted to take part in the show. From these only 150 were chosen for audition and out of them 50 were picked for the show. The auditions were held at Elstree Studios in North London where Eastenders is filmed.
Besides being watched by members of the public and friends and relatives an estimated 300 people from the media, agents and managers have been invited to watch and pick the stars of tomorrow.
Yasmine has two leading parts in the one-night show, one as Sandy from Grease, and the other singing a gospel version of Bridge Over Troubled Water.
