Volunteers from the award-winning Forest Read Easy Deal project spent the afternoon at Lydney Co-op just before Christmas. Also known as Fred, the project provides free one-to-one reading tuition to adults who need it. Fred has been very successful in helping people in Cinderford this year and has plans to launch in Lydney early next year. The project is currently seeking volunteers in the Lydney area to train as reading coaches. Pictured are project manager Julie Carthy with reading coaches Pat Lowe and Ann Kent.
