TWO Newent friends are cycling the UK Gold Post Box Challenge for charity.

Lucas Magor and Chris Britton started their adventure last Friday and will visit 111 gold boxes across the UK by the end of June where they will finish in Hull.

The boxes cover the Olympics, Paralympics and the Commonwealth Games around the UK and because of the number only a selected, representative number were chosen and Newent was one of those.

Lucas has already climbed Mount Kilimanjaro in Africa for charity and hopes to raise funds for Paralympics UK, Sport Relief 2014 and the Tree of Hope, which is a charity for children with severe medical problems.
