GRASS roots level football in Caldicot with a £400 sponsorship deal for the Under 6s and Under 7s at Sudbrook Junior Football Club.

The money is coming from Redrow Homes, which has just started a new development at Nerdern Rise, Caldicot.

Coach, Dave Pinnell said: "We're very grateful to Redrow for their support. It is vital we receive sponsorship such as this, as it enables us to offer more opportunities to local youngsters who want to play football at grass roots level."

Founded just a year ago and based at Sudbrook Cricket Club, the team plays mini-football, a scheme introduced by the Welsh FA for children under 11. It involves four-a-side games with pop up goals and has been developed to encourage teamwork and hone skills.
