WHEN Chepstow Knitters heard the plight about bald rescued battery chickens being cold and needing coats, they picked up their needles and set to to help.

"Our Chepstow models are very fortunate to have feathers, unlike those at Little Hen Resue," said a spokesperson.

"We will be posting off our coats to the shivering hens in time for Easter."
