IN his recent letter: Real Causes, Mr Strong makes a number of false claims about my recent missive highlighting the effect that mass uncontrolled EU immigration has had on school places.

Firstly, at no time did I make reference to EU immigrants failing to ‘pay their way’, secondly I said nothing about the composition of the NHS staff.

I really do wish that people would read letters properly before they put pen to paper.

However I am in agreement with Mr Strong that the country needs to have a reasonable and sensible debate about immigration.

Indeed UKIP are the only major party that seriously wants to discuss this issue.

At present, there are no controls over the number of EU citizens that can enter Britain.

UKIP would introduce border controls and a fair system to decide who can enter this country.

The most certain way to inflame community tensions is to carry on ‘sweeping the issue under the carpet’ as the Westminster establishment have done over the years.
