LYDBROOK Band's Robert Morgan was the recipient last Saturday of a commemorative certificate and a pair of poppy-shaped cuff-links to mark his services over the years to the Royal British Legion in Gloucestershire.

The award was presented by Group Captain Reid of the British Legion in recognition of the fact that Robert has played the Last Post at Lydbrook Cenotaph on Remembrance Sunday for the past 50 years.

The presentation was held at a concert featuring the Lydbrook Band along with the Morriston Orpheus Choir at Five Acres Theatre.
