THE organisers of Cinderford Carnival are urging everyone in the town to work towards making the last such event one which will be truly remembered.
"Get together ... we urge pubs, clubs, organisations and street groups to enter a float in the parade," said a Cinderford and District Carnival Committee spokesman.
And they are offering cash incentives to all floats. Each one, large or small, will receive £10
on completion of the parade.
In addition to this the winning float will receive £100, with £50 for second and £25 for third places. The winning walking entry will get £20 with £10 for second place, and the first, second and third prizes for walkers under 16 years of age are £15, £10 and £5.
Judging of the entries takes place at Cinderford Rugby Club at 12.30pm on the day of the carnival, August 10.
