A MAN suffered serious cuts to his arm and back in a late night town centre incident on Saturday (August 3).
Police said a 21-year-old man was found with serious laceration injuries after being alerted to an incident just before midnight outside the Fern Ticket pub in Cinderford.
A Gloucestershire Police spokesperson said: "He was taken to Gloucestershire Royal Hospital where he will be undergoing surgery.
"His condition is said to be serious but not life threatening."
They added today (Monday, August 5) that no one had been arrested in connection with the incident, although "it is believed that the offender and the injured man are known to each other and there is no threat to the wider community."
Scene guards were in place at two locations in Cinderford early on Sunday in connection with the investigation..
Anyone with information about the incident or who was in area at around the time is asked to call Gloucestershire Constabulary on 101 quoting incident 587 of 3 August.
