A ROSS-ON-WYE man is proving age is no limit by tackling tough challenges like climbing Mount Kilimanjaro at 64.

Martin Freeman, like many people, has put the dream to one side but next year wants to conquer the 6,000m summit and raise money for Great Western Air Ambulance.

Martin is no stranger to physical challenges, having completed numerous marathons and a gruelling challenge in the Brecon Beacons.

He said: “I was looking for my next challenge, and this seemed perfect. It will be hard work but it is such a unique experience, and not one that many people will have done.”
