A MEDAL awarded for bravery during the First World War was among a number of ’sentimental’ items stolen in a burglary at a Woolaston house.
The Military Cross, which honours "acts of exemplary gallantry" on active service, was awarded to the victim’s grandfather.
Among the other items stolen from the house in Birchwood Road were five miniature medal, a quantity of 1930s English banknotes, a pearl necklace, a silver snuff box and a white 14-inch Technika television.
Gloucestershire Police want to trace three ’suspicious’ men who were in the area around the time of the burglary on Wednesday (November 23).
The offenders entered through the rear of the house between 6pm and 8.30pm and searched through various rooms, drawers and cupboards.
Police would like anyone who saw or heard anything suspicious, to call them on 101 quoting incident 451 of November 23.
